Grimoire - Concept Stage

Grimoire is a horror exploration game set in a dark, cursed forest. This curse is a blight on the surrounding area, causing the forest to be a breeding ground for monsters. Many dangerous creatures make their home here, some venturing outside the forest wreaking havoc on the nearby towns and travelers.

You are a witch, tasked with cleansing the forest of its curse by brewing a potion strong enough to return the forest to its former lively state. In order to ensure its potency, you will be brewing the potion within the depths of the forest using ingredients that can only be found there. You have brought with you your cauldron filled with water from the forest's lake, enough firewood to keep the cauldron bubbling, candles enchanted with a protection spell to ward off the darkness, and your grimoire: filled with all the information you will need to navigate the forest and gather the necessary materials to cure the blight left on this once beautiful area.

You will brew this potion while keeping your protection candle lit. If it goes out, you will surely succumb to the darkness like all before you who have tried to rid the forest of its curse.
